academy of “Bel Canto”
With The locution of "Bel Canto",we mean
a specific virtuosic singing method taught in Italy during the 17th and
the 18th century, which reached the peak of notoriety with such great composers
as Rossini,Bellini and Donizetti. During the coming of 'Melodramma' around 1850,the vocal skills got adapted to new requirements from various aspects of news lyrical operas. The eunuchs and falsettists, unsuitables for new tenorical roles, were replaced by new heroical and passional figure of singers, especially with the "verista"operas. One of the most important contribution was given by French tenor "Gilbert Louis Dupres" (Paris 1806-1896), who emitted for the first time high-pitched notes with full voice. His high-pitched notes of Do were really famous during the representations of "William Tell"by Rossini. The "Bel Canto", with his applied technics on melodramatic voices too, gave a great contribution to the creation of many great lirycal artist from the past, present and future. On this view, the "Bel Canto" Academy teachs to new generation of lyrical voices, with the goal of reaching the peak of vocal expression and the right enterpretation of many of lyrical reperthory. With the achieving of the "Bel Canto"techniques, it will be possible to sing all the kind of music, without the damage of vocal system. President M°Bruno Pelagatti |
